Your visit to New Forest Cider is a chance to explore one of the New Forest’s most enchanting villages. Burley is steeped in old-world charm, a place where time seems to slow down, and ponies and cattle roam freely right through the village centre.

Folklore and Charm

Burley is famous for its intriguing connections to witchcraft and smuggling. In the 1950s, the village was home to a well-known ‘white witch,’ Sybil Leek, and today, this mystical heritage lives on in the quaint, quirky gift shops like A Coven of Witches. Keep an eye out for the historic Queen’s Head pub, a former haunt of local smugglers.

Outdoor Adventure

Burley is the perfect base for exploring the ancient woodlands and heathlands of the National Park. You can hire bikes and set off on traffic-free cycle trails, enjoy scenic Burley Wagon Rides through the forest, or take a New Forest Deer Safari to spot the local wildlife.

Make your visit to New Forest Cider extra special with a stay at Highcroft Cottage, our charming on-site accommodation nestled right on the edge of the forest.

With space for up to eight guests, the cottage combines traditional comfort with modern conveniences – including a log-burning stove, fully fitted kitchen, and private garden with direct access to the New Forest.

Spend your days exploring woodland trails or head to the nearby Highcliffe beach for sea views and castle walks.
